Need Renter's Insurance?

1/26/2012 9:15:00 AM

A lot of renters assume that since you're renting, all of your things should be covered by the landlord. The landlord's insurance is for the building itself, however, there is no coverage for your belongings, unless you take care of it.

It doesn’t matter if you're renting an apartment, a condo, or a home – most likely, your landlord's policy is not going to pay for that beautiful plasma TV or any other furniture or personal items in the event of theft, fire, or water damage.

For instance, if there is a storm that damages the roof, you won't have to pay for the damage of the roof. But, if that damage causes a leak all over your laptop, you need to have coverage for that.

Now you're asking yourself, why don't I already have renter's insurance! Well that's simple, because you haven't called us yet! Go ahead and pick up the phone! We'll be on the other end to help you out with your needs, whether you're a student getting ready to rent your first apartment or a parent trying to help your student out, we're here for you every step of the way!
